Fishing

Kinross & the surrounding districts are blessed with some of the best fresh water fishing in Scotland

Loch Leven

Probably Scotland’s most famous angling water, is the dominant feature of the area. In addition to its famous strain of brown trout the loch is now regularly stocked with high quality rainbows from its own rearing facility. There are also a variety of other excellent brown and rainbow trout fisheries in the area, conveniently situated for the travelling angler and sure to provide great opportunities.

Perth

Situated in a key location on the mighty River Tay it is hardly surprising that Perth has long been a major angling centre, perfectly situated to serve the famous beats of the lower Tay. Close by to the south the River Earn, itself an excellent trout, sea trout and salmon river, enters the upper estuary of the Tay and provides an alternative venue. The Earn is especially noted for its superb grayling fishing.
